Tsangyao (T.Y.) Chen came to Florida State University in 2016 to work on his doctorate in the School of Information. Before joining the Research Computing Center in 2023 as a Research Technology Specialist, T.Y. served in the role of instructor, teaching faculty, and researcher while been involved with the University’s health data science initiative since 2019.

T.Y. has a background in learning and information systems, with which he explores the application and implications of information technology through diverse academic and business lenses. In his free time, T.Y. enjoys reading, movies, and the outdoors with friends.
