NEdit is a graphical text editor built for many common UNIX-based systems. The program has programming language support including syntax highlighting and macros among others.

Using NEdit on RCC Resources

In order to launch nedit from HPC or Spear, you must connect using a terminal that supports graphical "X" window sessions (ssh -Y ...).

Once you have logged-in, type the following command into the terminal:

$ ssh -Y abc12a@hpc-login.rcc.fsu.edu
