GrADS is a data analysis and display program designed for use with environmental and earth science data sets. These can be in the form of gridded data or station-based data. The program is designed for use with spatio-temporal data in a 5 dimensional coordinate system which includes spatial dimensions, time and an optional dimension for ensemble data.
Using GrADS on RCC Resources
Use of GrADS does not require a module to be loaded. It can be run simply by running the following command on the command line. Be sure that your present working directory is the one that holds the data you wish to visualize or analyze.
This will start the GrADS GUI. From there, you can visualize a dataset or run analysis commands. A full tutorial and description of how to use GrADS can be found on their Documentation site.
