RCC team member, Bin Chen, PhD, will give a talk:
Numerical Relativity With Python and Matlab
Wednesday, September 9, 2015 -- 3:30 P.M. 499 Dirac Science Library
I will give an introduction to the linear and non-linear gravitational lensing theory, and some related numerical problems. Specifically I will talk about microlensing simulation and ray-tracing in Kerr black hole spacetime. I will present some recent results obtained using my Python and Matlab code. Students interested in research at the Research Computing Center are encouraged to attend.
