Our Parallel MATLAB workshop is a free, two-part interactive workshop that aims to provide a basic introduction to using MATLAB on our Condor and HPC systems.
While our primary goal is to show users how to use MATLAB effectively on RCC resources, topics covered in this workshop will be useful for any MATLAB applications. Therefore, we encourage anyone who already has a basic understanding of MATLAB and wants to learn how to use it in high performance environments to attend this workshop.
This is an interactive, hands-on workshop. Basic MATLAB experience is required. It will be held in a fully-equipped classroom laboratory with furnished computers. Attendees may bring their own notebook computers, but this will not be necessary.
By the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to use MATLAB on Condor & HPC, and will understand basic parallelization techniques for MATLAB.
Specific topics covered include:
- Introduction to parallel MATLAB
- Using MATLAB on Condor
- Using MATLAB on HPC
- Compiling MATLAB to C
The location of these workshops is Dirac Science Library Room 150-K (map). NOTE: The entrance is located on the southeast corner of the building, across from the Oceanography building next to the parking garage. Use that entrance, not the main library entrance.
This workshop will be led by Bin Chen, PhD, an Applications Specialist at RCC. Dr. Chen has over three years of experience using MATLAB in an HPC environment.
